Some Masculine Creations

Hi there,
Welcome back to this week's post! I've been playing around with masculine creations this week and would like to share my latest creations with you:

The card stock for all the cards is from GinaK Designs pure luxury in Dark Chocolate and I paired it with GinaK's 'Casual Friday' DP and pure luxury Ivory cardstock.

For the bow-tie card I used Tami Mayberry's Label Borders stamp set (from GinaK Designs) for the bottom band (stamped on GKD pure luxury Ivory c/s in Memento Rich Cocoa) and glued some Tim Holtz grunge board letters onto it, after inking it with Memento Rich Cocoa. The ribbon is also from GinaK Designs. I also embossed the background paper using the Swiss Dots folder in my Cuttlebug.
I found the idea for the little shirt on Pinterest (from Wendy Weixler - here). Wendy also lists the website where you can find the step-by-step photos for folding the little shirt!
For the larger shirt card, I cut the dp to resemble a shirt, and used a white gel pen to add the stitching. I also found this idea on Pinterest and have adapted it slightly. (You can check out the original blog post over here.)
The card with the little wire hanger is so cute! I used the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss the background paper and twisted the little hanger, using some craft wire I had sitting in a basket on my craft table. I hand-cut the ties from scrap dp. (This is another idea I saw somewhere on the web but can't recall where - I will amend this post and add the original web post as soon as I find it again LOL).
To finish off the cards, I used Theresa Momber's By the Sea stamp set and stamped 'Happy Father's Day' on the inside in Memento Rich Cocoa.

New Creations

Hi there and welcome back!
Today, I have two new creations to share with you, using two super sweet stamp sets from the Sweet Stamp Shop. For the first card, I used the hot air balloons and sentiments from the Old Fashioned Afternoon set:

I stamped the images and sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa. The background paper is from the London Market set by Pink Paislee and the hot air balloons were stamped onto some pink scraps from my stash. The pearls are also from my stash. I scored the two lines on the top and bottom of the card, using my Scorpal. The cardstock is GinaK Designs pure luxury in Kraft.

For the second card I used the rose images and sentiment from the Sweet Victoria stamp set (apologies for the shadows in the picture - I can't seem to get one without shadows :).

I stamped the rose images (3 different sizes) three times each, fussy cut each one, rubbed some Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar on the edges and glued the layers on top of each other. The pink DP for the roses is from the London Market paper pack by Pink Paislee. The pink and white DP for the background is from the Happy Days set by Echo Park. The pink cardstock is by GinaK Designs and the image and sentiments were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. The white ribbon is from my stash. I added Stickles and Glossy Accents to the flowers for a final touch.

(As always, I couldn't have made these creations without my trusty Scor-Pal, Tim Holtz Tonic scissors, Ledah TM-10 paper trimmer, Stamp-a-ma-jig and Spin-Eco permanent glue tape.)

This week's: StampTV & The Outlawz Challenges Entry

Hi there,
I'm back this week with another creation for this week's challenges:

I created this card using GinaK's pure luxury cardstock in Ivory and Kraft. I used Gina's Wainscot technique to create the wood paneling look behind the image, with the help of my trusty Scor-Pal. I rubbed the Ivory cardstock with Memento Desert Sand to create the distressed wood look. The image and sentiment are from Theresa Momber's 'Follow Your Dreams' stamp set. I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured it using Copics. I cut the image out using Spellbinders Ovals and adhered it with copper brads from GinaK. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
StampTV Mix it up Monday - Emboss it Twice Winner!!!!
The Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge - Great Outdoors Month: Father's Day/Boys

This week's The Oulawz & StampTV Challenges

Hi there,
I'm back this week with a birthday card which I'd like to enter into two challenges:

The cardstock is GinaK pure luxury in Ivory and Grass Green. The rose and tulip images are from Melanie Muenchiner's Pressed Flowers stamp set and stamped in Memento Grape Jelly, Lilac Posies and Bamboo Leaves. I stamped the pink rose first, then stamped it again on a Post-It note and fussy-cut it to create a mask. I then stamped the leaves, stems and tulips with the mask in place. The sentiment is from Theresa Momber's Whimsical Wishes stamp set and stamped in Memento Sweet Plum. The ladybug is from Melanie's A Year of Flowers set and stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copic R27 (I also added some Glossy Accents to make it pop). I ran the card base through my Cuttlebug, using an embossing folder with a flower image. I also rounded the two opposite corners of the cardstock (base and image) using a corner-rounder punch. The seam binding ribbon is from the Cat's Pajamas and the pearlies are from my stash. I punched the purple flourish using my wave flourish punch.

This is a picture of the inside
The sentiment is from Theresa Momber's Whimsical Spring stamp set and is stamped in Memento Lilac Posies.

This is a picture of the matching bookmark:

I ran one half of the Ivory cardstock through the same flowery embossing folder and stamped the Bible verse on the un-embossed half, using Memento Lilac Posies. The verse is from the GinaK He is Risen stamp set.

This is a picture of the complete set:
The sentiment on the brown bag is from the GinaK Nature's Greetings stamp set and is stamped in Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Challenges:
I would like to enter this card in the following 2 challenges:
StampTV Center Stage Alumni Blog Hop Colour Challenge: Using Pink, Purple & Green (plus neutral colours)
The Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge: Fight the Filthy Fly Moth (summer, bugs, picnic)

Latest Challenge Entries: StampTV & The Outlawz

Hello again,

I'm back today showing off some of my latest creations. The first one is a wedding card (I love the little veil! It's so cute!):

The cardstock is GinaK pure luxury in White and Lipstick Red. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured them with Copic markers.  I ran the card base through my Cuttlebug, using the Swiss Dots folder. The sentiment is hand-written using an ultra-fine black marker. The heart brad is by Recollections and the stamped images are from the Furry Friends (furry creatures) and Cool Scoop (hearts) stamp sets by the Sweet Stamp Shop. I added some glossy accents to the hearts for extra dimension.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
StampTV Free For All Friday - Blushing Brides & Grinning Grooms
The Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge - Animal Print Paper, Ribbon or Images

The second card is all PINK! This one is for Lee's Pretty in Pink Challenge over on StampTV:

For this card, I used GinaK pure luxury cardstock in White and Passionate Pink. I chopped the corners using the ticket tag punch (available in the shop over at StampTV). The image and sentiment are both from Tami Mayberry's 'Gnome One Like You' stamp set. I rubbed the edges of the card and the clouds with Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar. The grass is cut from a piece of Echo Park Victoria Gardens, using the Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass die. The clouds were made using another Die-namics die. I coloured the lawnmower with Copics RV10 & RV13 and added some stickles to the top as well as the edge of the small cloud. The white brads are some of GinaK's and the pearlies are from my stash. Image and sentiment were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The last card is for Cat's Let's be CAS about that Man Challenge, also on StampTV:

The cardstock is GinaK pure luxury in Ivory and I rubbed the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Tea Dye. The image is from Theresa Momber's 'By the Sea' stamp set. I stamped the image and sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured the image using Copics. The three rhinestones are from my stash.

(As always, I couldn't have done this without my trusty Scor-Pal, Ledah TM-10 paper trimmer, Cuttlebug and SpinEco permanent glue tape.)

Quick & Easy

Hi there,
I'm back today with a quick and easy sympathy card. This past week has been so busy and I needed to create some sympathy cards which wouldn't take too long.
This is what I came up with:

I used GinaK pure luxury cardstock in white with Tim Holtz distress ink in Blue Jeans for the lace image and sentiment. The lace stamp is from one of GinaK's newer sets Lacy Borders and the sentiment is from Tami Mayberry's All Occasion Tags set. The pearlies are from my stash.

Creating these cards were both quick and easy and I just love the end result!

Also, just a reminder that you still have time to enter this week's Mix it up Monday challenge over on StampTV! You have until 8pm Sunday, 3 June to play along. Your challenge this week is to create something for a child/children in your life. That can be in the form of a card, game, scrapbook page, altered art, anything really!
