Ribbon Carousel & GinaK Day Challenges

Hi everyone,
I'm back again with another creation for two challenges. I thought I'd combine this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge RCC40 (sketch) with another GinaK Day creation. Again, I decided to use all GinaK DP (Wisteria Lane), cardstock and the Whimsical Spring stamp set for both the image and sentiment.

Thanks for looking and do come back again soon!
Hugs,
M

MojoMonday & GinaK Day Challenges

Hi there,
I'm back again to show you my contribution to the GinaK. Day Challenge. I also used this week's MojoMonday 228 Sketch for both challenges.
The GinaK Day Challenge was to use one of Gina's videos as an inspiration for your card. I must say, I *LOVE* all Gina's videos and couldn't decide on a particular one. Instead, I used Gina's new DP (Red Carpet) with the Whimsical Spring stamp set.

Thanks for visiting. I'll catch you again soon!
Hugs,
M

The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday 197

Hello everyone,

Wow, what a busy week it's been! I'm glad it's weekend so that I can recharge my batteries again! I'm back this week with my take on the TCP Tuesday Challenge 197 over at The Cat's Pajamas. This week they have an ABC challenge (Anything But a Card). Since we're back into the swing of things, I'm also back at Heart & Soul (women's Bible Study) at church and I decided to 'dress up' my notebook for the challenge. You may recall that I created an altered journal a while ago (you can see it here) and I followed a very similar process.

This is what the book looked like before I started. It's an A5-sized, spiral-bound notebook.

I went through my cardstock and DP to see what went with the lime green cover. This type of project is ideal for using up all those little scraps I can't manage to throw away! The dotty DP is Jilibean Soup - Spotted Owl Soup and the cardstock is GinaK Designs pure luxury in Turquoise Sea.

This is the final product. I stamped the bunny image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock and coloured it with Copics. The grass was made using the Die-Namics Fresh Cut Grass die.

Thanks for looking and remember to pop back in. Tomorrow is GinaK Day over at StampTV and you wouldn't want to miss out! I'll soon have a few more challenges up for that anyway.

See you later!
Hugs,
M

So Thankful

Hi again,
It's been a bit wet and miserable the last few days (which is good when you need to get some stamping done) but we can do with some good ol' sunshine again soon! I was busy working on a card for a couple of challenges and was planning on making a birthday card but in the end changed it to a thank you card.

I decided to do some heat embossing (as I haven't done it in a while) and chose the rose image from Melanie Muenchinger's 'A Year of Flowers' stamp set to emboss, thus creating my own DP. I also embossed the sentiment. Melanie now also has a book out based on this stamp set, illustrating how versatile it is. You can order a copy of the book as well as the stamp set over at GinaK Designs.

I'll be entering this card in the following challenges:
StampTV Mix it up Monday - Adding Texture
Ribbon Carousel RCC39 - Anything Goes
  MojoMonday 227 - Sketch

Thanks for looking!
Hugs,
M

Happy Birthday

Hi again,
I have to share this with you guys. My AWESOME big sister had a birthday this week and although I made her card a couple of weeks ago, I didn't want to post it here because I didn't want her to see it on my blog before she received it! Anyway, she received it in the mail yesterday which means I am able to share it with you!
I chose blue because it's her favourite colour. The image is from Hastings Rubber Stamps and I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto ivory cardstock and coloured it with Copic markers. I've always admired the hatpins on other cards and decided to pair it with my brand new seam binding ribbon (just LOVE that stuff!!).

Thanks for looking!
Hugs,
M

Dancing in Pajamas: Valentine Blog Hop Entry

Hi, I'm back again with another challenge entry. I'm trying to make the most of my 'crafty' time this week as we have a fairly busy weekend ahead with lots of family commitments! The Cat's Pajamas has a fabulous Valentine Blog Hop challenge going and I couldn't resist making a card.  Since I donated all my other V-day cards to charity this week, I probably need something to give hubby on the day (LOL).

You know how much I love my TCP bunny stamps and for this one I substituted the butterflies with little heart stickers. I also added some glossy accents to them to add a bit of dimension.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to pop back as I'll soon have more challenge entries to show you.
Hugs,
M

TCP Tuesday 196 with The Cat's Pajamas

Hi again,
I hope you've had a great week and that you've lots of  'crafty' time! I decided to play along with TCP Tuesday 196 at The Cat's Pajamas. Details are on their blog at Dancing in Pajamas. Jen is this week's hostess and her challenge is to use this Rainbow Inspiration Collage for the project/card:
When I saw the inspiration picture, I went through my DP and spotted this bright, floral paper by Basic Gray (Lauderdale) which worked perfectly with the bunny image. I LOVE the TCP bunny images and am slowly collecting them all! The hat pin with the brightly coloured beads add the final touch. This is my project:

I didn't use a sentiment on this card as I couldn't decide whether I wanted it to be a birthday card, a get well card or just a 'saying hello' card.
Thanks for looking!
Hugs,
M
