Hello Kody!

Hi there,
I'm back today to tell you about a stamp company I recently discovered: Some Odd Girl Stamps. Boy are their stamps CUTE! I purchased two digis to play with, and would love to share my first attempt with you:

This little guy is super-cute and his name is Rockin' Kody. You can find him in the shop under characters (click on Kody). When I saw this image, I knew it would be perfect for a teenage-boy card! I coloured him with Copics. The DP are all from the 'Generation' paper tablet by Little Yellow Bicycle.

Thanks for looking! I'll be back soon to share what I've done with the other image.

Toodles!

Its almost February ...

Hi there,
Welcome back to this week's post! Gosh, it felt like it was New Year just yesterday and its almost February already! Well, I had to hurry to get my entry in for the January challenge over at the Ribbon Carousel!

This month's challenge is 'Winter Spirit' (RCC76) and this is what I've come up with:

The DP is Echo Park's 'Winter Park' and the cardstock is GinaK pure luxury heavy based in white.
The image is from the Penny Black 'Mimi's Christmas' set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copics.
I cut the image out using my Spellbinders Circles and sponged the edges with Tim Holtz d/i in Peacock Feathers.
The Crushed silky ribbon and net ribbon are from the Ribbon Carousel. I punched circles from the net ribbon using a circle punch, to mimic the snowflakes.
The button is from the BoBunny 'Father Christmas' range.
I added Stickles and Pearlies from my stash.

My project for this week's Paper a la Mode team over on The Outlawz Challenges happen to be some scrapbooking pages as it fits perfectly with the 'Anything Goes' theme. The Teenager went off to a sleepover on Friday morning, which gave me ample time to just sit and create until late at night. I dabble with scrapbooking from time to time but don't always have time for it (or the space on my craft desk!).
Since spotting the new Echo Park 'For the Record 2' range a couple of months ago, I've been collecting all the bits and pieces in the range and I've been using the 6x6 papers in my card making but decided on using the 12x12 sheets for scrapbooking because I just love it so much!
I'm really pleased with the end result!

Thanks for popping in!

New Creations

Hi there and welcome back!

Today I'm sharing this week's creations:

This week's Mix it up Monday challenge over on StampTV is to create tags. I created these four tags to accompany various gifts. Tags are so versatile and can often replace a card. Plus, they are perfect for using those little scraps you can't bear to throw away!

I created the following projects for the Paper a la Mode Challenge team over on The Outlawz Challenges:

This box frame project was made for a friend, and I used various MFT dies and stamps by GinaK Designs. I really love how it turned out!
This challenge card is for this week's 'Bright Colours' challenge.
(I'm seriously in love with that Silky Crushed Ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel!!)

Last but not least, this is my take on the 'Special Birthday' Challenge for the Purple Team over on Eclectic Ellapu.

Thanks for popping in!
See you soon!

Second Post: Crafty Card Gallery

Hi there,
Welcome back for my second post for the Crafty Card Gallery. Today's project was created using the Paris Girl DP by Carta Bella (it was a gift from my lovely friend Regina:

All cardstock are Pure Luxury Heavy Based by GinaK Designs. The image is from the 'True Love' stamp set and the sentiment from the 'Whimsical Wishes' stamp set, both also from GinaK Designs.
I stamped both the image and sentiments with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used my Tim Holtz distressing tool on the pink and black cardstock. I sponged Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distress ink around the edges of the white card base. The ribbon and pearlies are from my stash.

I'm also entering this card into this week's Mix it up Monday challenge over on StampTV.

Thanks for popping in!

My First Post: Crafty Card Gallery

Hi there,
I'm back today with my first post for the Crafty Card Gallery. My lovely friend, Jennifer, asked me to post a few creations this week, and this is the first one:

All cardstock is Pure Luxury Heavy Based by GinaK Designs. The images and sentiment are by the Sweet Stamp Shop (Happy Bugs & Pattern Craze). I stamped the bees using Memento Tuxedo Black, coloured them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them. I added some stickles, glossy accents and pearls and added some twine by Timeless Twine for the feelers. I stamped the honeycomb pattern using Memento Cantaloupe and sponged Tim Holtz Squeezed Lemonade distress ink over the top. I also sponged this around the edges of the card base.

Thanks for visiting & remember to pop in during the week as I share more Crafty Card Gallery posts with you!
Hugs,
M

Challenge Entry: Alicia's Little Shop

Hi, I'm back today with a quick card I whipped up for a challenge over at Alicia's Little Shop. Alicia draws the most amazing digital stamps and you have to hop over and have a browse!

All cardstock is by Pure Luxury, Heavy Based by GinaK Designs. The pink and white gingham DP is a left over piece from my stash and the twine is by Timeless Twine. I added rhinestones, stickles and glossy accents from my stash.
The image is 'Alicia and her little cat' by Alicia Bel.
I printed the image and coloured it using Copic Markers and then fussy cut it. I really struggle with colouring digis, as I find the Copic Markers cause 'bleeding' and streaking. This seems to be worse for lighter colours. I've tried printing in Draft mode and I heat set the images with a heat gun after printing. Any ideas??

Thanks for popping in!

Eclectic Ellapu Purple Team: First Challenge for 2013!

Hi there and welcome back!

Today, I'm sharing the first challenge of 2013 for the Purple Team at Eclectic Ellapu.
This week, your challenge is to create anything with 'snow activities'. This is what I've come up with:

The cardstock is GinaK Designs Pure Luxury Heavy Based in White and the DP (red strip and snowflakes) is from the Blitzen range by BoBunny. I ran the card base through my Cuttlebug, using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The button is also from the Blitzen range by BoBunny. The image and sentiment are from the 'Tree Traditions' stamp set by Sweet Stamp Shop. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it using Copic markers. The polaroid frame was made using the  'Snapshot Fun' die, also by Sweet Stamp Shop.
The twine is by Timeless Twine.
Lastly, I added some stickles and rhinestones from my stash.

Thanks so much for popping in!
Hugs,
M

PS: I've recently discovered picmonkey - a photo editing site - they are amazing! I love what I can do with my pictures now! The sky is the limit! :)
